Baile de Fuego
The Dance of Fire is a high-intensity, battery percussion showpiece with a Spanish flavor.
The show opens with a round of high-velocity battery percussion features interspersed with fragments of the main theme. The theme is developed throughout the rest of the movement with the battery leading the way.
In the middle section, the battery gets a rest and we hear a peaceful counter melody. The peace doesn’t last long though, and the music swells to create a high-intensity, fiery finish.
