As drummers and educators, we’re invested in making your program a success.
Why Choose onetwobuzz.com?
A young drummer stared at a poster of the 40 essential rudiments hanging on the wall of his music classroom. The combinations of notes, symbols, and stickings felt overwhelming to him. He looked discouraged. Seeing this, his teacher approached him and said the following:
“You know, some people say there are 40 rudiments, but I think there are only three. You can hit the drum once, you can hit the drum twice, which we call a double-stroke, or you can buzz. Really, every other rudiment is made up of those three simple things. Once you learn those, everything else will start to make sense.”
At onetwobuzz.com, that story chronicles our mission. We want to help students and teachers alike make drumming less complicated. We remember what it’s like to pick up sticks for the first time, and we hope that our shows will help beginning musicians build their skills, musicianship, and confidence, and have some fun along the way!
We specialize in writing to help new groups grow and attain success. Our staff have taught several units in the mid-Atlantic’s Tournament Indoor Association. We have written the two all-time highest-scoring shows in the history of the TIA Novice Percussion class (now called Regional Class). Our writers started both groups from scratch, wrote their music and drill, and instructed the battery and front ensembles. Within three years, each group achieved a record-breaking score, and were promoted to the next competitive class mid-season.
